The Australian Esports League Open  gives a chance and access for players across wider Australia to get involved, by working with club venues to host regular and local esports competition.

Players who participate can earn points, prizes, develop their skills and advance their esports career as a local, regional or national champion!

The AEL Open is all about participating, building community, being social, meeting people and having fun whilst enjoying the perks of an active esports league!

Play Weekly

Register for the next event in your local area for free, play and earn points to prove you are the best in your area!

Compete in Regionals

The top weekly players will be invited to play in regional events to earn more points and cash prizes to prove you're the best in your region and earn your way to the Nationals!

Play at the Nationals

Build your rank, prove your skills and become one of Australia's top talent. Play at the nationals for a share of the massive $12,500 prize pool!

The Games

The Australian Esports League is a fully licenced and accredited league by the gaming publishers, whose games feature in all AEL leagues. Ensuring best practice and longevity of the league for all affiliates.

Tekken 7

A fighting game developed with over 30 playable characters where players face off 1 on 1, using knowledge and skill to outplay their opponent.

Player’s must employ exceptional tactics and timing to best their opponents. Game play includes well time blocks, attacks and combos to secure a knock-out!

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a fighting game featuring over 70 well-known characters. Players must use unique abilities to dodge and attack to try and knock each other out of an arena.

Ultimate is the 5th in the Super Smash Bros. series and includes every playable character from previous Super Smash Bros. games—ranging from Nintendo’s mascots to characters from third-party franchises—and several newcomers.

EA Sport’s FIFA 19 is a football simulation video game that blurs the line between virtual and real world. Bringing players, teams and atmosphere to life in the player’s hands.

Player’s must control their side using complex positioning and tactics to defend, attack and score the most goals to win!
